  • Lead and manage the PR team and the content it delivers. Revise and edit content as necessary
  • Develop and maintain budgets for all PR related activities and constantly monitor progress and evaluate performance;
  • Act as the company’s representative with the media and manage media relations proactively;
  • Ensure regular contact with target media and maintain a valuable relationship with editors, journalist and reporters;
  • Prepare and supervise the production of press releases, press briefings, media kits, speeches for company leaders, publicity materials, promotional videos etc as well as providing appropriate response to media requests;
  • Liaise, coordinate and manage PR agencies on country level;
  • Organize and oversee events such as press conference, exhibitions, and open days;
  • Document company or company leaders’ presence at conferences and speaking engagements and collate and analyze media coverage of such events;
  • Manage PR aspect of a crisis situation or emergency communication by developing and maintaining an effective crisis management plan;
  • Responsible for ensuring communication strategy is consistent and in accordance with the company’s strategic vision.Identify challenges faced and release information to counter negative publicity.
  • Lead strategic communications to support Government Affairs team’s advocacy with key government and community stakeholders
  • Engage influential government/policy, tech startup and mainstream media journalists and media channels to raise Grab’s social impact profile and drive positive media coverage that influences key government and community stakeholders to support Grab’s social mission and efforts

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations.
  • 7-8 years of experience in PR or similar field, experience in corporate PR environment is a plus;
  • Full understanding of media needs and media relations;
  • An excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly in both written and spoken English;
  • Superb writing skills and demonstrate successful experience writing press releases;
  • Ability to promote a positive image of the company;
  • Impeccable organization skills and attention to details;
  • Motivation to liaise and answer queries from the media about the company and negotiating with media;
  • Creative and strong analytical skills;
  • Dynamic leader who moves fast, delegates well and is charismatic and driven;
  • Ability to stay calm and look for reasonable constructive solutions in case of crisis situations;
  • The temperament to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
